1197 RandomSTOP Vessel Prep Trials – Real Life or Alternative Reality?

Abstract Aim During the last ten years there have been two notable studies within vessel preparation for peripheral vascular disease; DEFINITIVE AR prospective multi-centre randomised study (evaluating use of atherectomy prior to drug-eluting balloon catheters (DCB)) and DISRUPT PAD III randomized control trial intravascular lithotripsy (IVL)). This aimed analyse a true cohort patients who underwent prep whether this reflects those included in studies. Method Data was collected on with SFA disease 14 countries across 17 centres. We applied inclusion criteria our cohort. Results n = 974 received at least one form prep. Of these patients, 202 (20.7%) 22 (2.26%) lithotripsy. 50.1% (n 103) would eligible participate DEFINITVE study. 18% 4) trial. Conclusions Both trials shown promising results however large multicentre we that participants reflect only small percentage seen real ward. advise caution when interpreting from considering disparity, between cohorts life population.
